Dancing and Drying

So sorry about the lack of post last night.  We have moved to the Residence Inn for two nights, waiting for our rental furniture to be delivered to the rental house on Monday.   The kids love the rental house which makes things so much easier.  We had really talked it up to them, especially the huge, unfinished basement with painted concrete floors - perfect for riding bikes inside.  Reminded me of my childhood days performing in elaborate roller skating shows in our basement!  The house is also 3 doors down from Caroline's close friend Emma, which has earned the house the nickname "the Emma house."

thumbs up for the day:  the waffle maker at the Residence Inn breakfast buffet, finally organizing all of the gift cards given to us, receiving some jewelry back from the jeweler and organizing it in its new holder (I'm sensing a theme), transferring everything to my new calendar so the stinky one could be thrown away, making a dent on my thank you notes, buying myself the new Prince William and Harry book and reading each night in the tub (thanks Bible Study girls for the gift cards "just for me"), retrieving from the remains of the attic 23 ceramic Easter eggs hand-painted by the kids each year and being told that since they were kiln fired that they will probably come clean, remembering that their Easter baskets were not in the attic but in the basement closet under the stairs!

thumbs down: remembering the stuffed animals from the stuffed animal wedding and wondering how many (if any) survived, having to find prices for 875 items that were identifiable in the house but not salvageable (that number will double when we remember the things that are ashes), not being able to find pants for William because all of the spring stuff is out in stores, remembering things daily that we should have added to the priority restore list before they went to the warehouse (like the camera charger!)

Here is just a taste of how well sweet William is doing and for this I am so thankful.    I'll call this "fun with the wall-mounted hotel blowdryer".

  1. Oh my goodness...I just LOVE that William!! He cracks me up and brings a smile to my face just thinking of him! An aside about the camera charger...i think we have the same camera (Cannon Rebel?), so if you want to borrow our charger, you're welcome to!! Just let me know.

  2. Love it! I think of William every time I dry my hands under a restroom dryer. Kaili now has to put her head under the dryer and does a little dance!
