Ca-Ute! (sound it out)

Twelve years ago, we were expecting our first baby and when looking through the giant baby stores, I remember thinking - where's the cute stuff?  I didn't want navy and yellow plaid or anything hunter green.  Nothing out there was me.  At the risk of sounding snobby, I am just a visual person.  I don't care if something is inexpensive, but I want it to be cute.  I believe that you should even love the ordinary everyday things that you use around the house.  If you need to buy a colander, pick one out that you like and that matches your house.  Thats my secret to a joyful beautiful house - don't buy ugly.

Fast forward to baby #4.  I walk into baby stores now and cuteness abounds.  It is so easy to find cute.  There is a version of cute for everyone.  Here are 2 of my favorites so far:

The "grass" drying rack for bottles.  I couldn't love it more.  Practical but very, very cute.  Sold at many baby stores or at target.com

The pacifier purse that attaches to the car seat- many varieties and companies make these.  Its Finn's  "nuk man bag."  He is my first child who has fallen in love with the nuk and I'm now realizing how nice it is to know where these lifesavers are at all times!

And of course my reason for these products:

Oh my gosh he's so yummy.  Love the giant crease under his lip where he stores his extra milk.

I promise I'm getting back in the swing of things!
